How does red light therapy work?

The working principle of red light therapy is the stimulation of the mitochondria, the organelles inside every cell in your body, which are responsible for producing energy in the form of a molecule called ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

Basically, red light therapy is nothing more than exposing your skin to low-level wavelengths of red light. The results from this exposure depend on the wavelength emitted by the device and the exposure time. This light is found in nature, especially in the early hours of the sun and in the late hours of the day.

This coupled with NIR or Near Infrared will cause the effect to be much more profound and can affect on many more levels, aiding the body’s natural healing and better performance of the natural aspects of our cellular composition.

What’s the difference between FlexBeam and a far infrared sauna?

The main difference between your experience using FlexBeam vs using an infrared sauna is that FlexBeam does not emit heat.

FlexBeam uses red and near-infrared LEDs for maximum effects. An infrared sauna uses light of different wavelengths which also emit heat. The principle on which they work is quite different.
